I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Pittsburgh, specializing in International Relations. My primary research interests include civil wars, terrorism, democratization and foreign aid. I am currently working on the security outcomes associated with forced migration and refugees. I received my PhD from Rice University in 2006.
My research has been published in the American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, International Organization, International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Conflict Resolution, and Journal of Peace Research.
